Not for fans of Baldur’s Gate
So Billy is the very definition of a terrible podcaster. Nothing worse than listening to someone complain about a game because they refuse to learn how to play it. His constant whining and glib remarks gives him such a bad look and unfortunately makes this podcast unlistenable if you’re a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 (which everyone else in the world is). He can’t be bothered to learn controls, read a map, listen or engage with any character beyond the one he wants to bone. He’s missing everything because hes skipping everything, Then he blames the game for being confusing. No man, it’s you. It’s like listening to someone complain about how confusing a movie was then finding out they were on their phone the entire time it was on. Seems like he will only treat the games he likes seriously, and give the bare minimum with maximum cynicism and smugness to the rest. Just go back to hack n slash so you no longer have to use a brain cell. I’m gonna save my brain cells and stop listening. “How do I know if equipment is better or not?” My guy, have you never played a single video game? Higher numbers mean better. If a character is not proficient in armor or a weapon, THE GAME TELLS YOU. Please actually try this game, because whatever you’re doing now is the opposite of that. Ps. Resolving a situation gives you the same xp as killing them. Billy, you’re not leveling up because YOURE NOT DOING ANYTHING.

    Hang with friends
I started listening to Standard Edish when I started playing TOTK. In my circle there aren’t many to discuss the game with. So listening to this podcast and it’s format of friends just hanging out and discussing in a “book club” style is what I didn’t know I needed. Hope this show lasts a long time

Link…Link… You must listen to this podcast.
Fun podcast to be listened to away from young ears. I enjoy the standard editioners’ humor and gameplay tips. I’ll never be able to look at Purah the same! My new podcast friends peer pressured me into tackling the Fire Temple, which intimidated me when I first arrived. But if Link didn’t take on the challenge, I’d need to skip that standard episode and miss out on the jokes! Plus Yunobo wouldn’t stop bugging me. Chill out Goro. Standard mission accomplished!

    Millennial Nerds
I was looking for a video game podcast for someone who had been out of the “game” for a minute, specifically for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and I found these four weirdos. I couldn’t be more thrilled at their in-jokes and search for the greater truth in a giant world of gaming and entertainment. Love the concept of a book club / video game podcast, very excited to see where they go!

Just what I was looking for
I just found this podcast with the release of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and I absolutely adore it! It’s just what I look for in a podcast - a bunch of friends being goofy and geeking out on the same things I’m interested in. I’ve already subscribed and am looking forward to taking my time exploring Hyrule with Billy, Jackie, Alan and Kayleigh. I get a kick out of how Billy tries to keep the podcast on track as everyone else gets sidetracked. But that’s how I play Zelda, so it’s a perfect recipe! And Kayleigh’s cooking corner and improv songs at the end are already fav segments of mine. Keep up the good work! I’ll be sending a round over soon!

    Coquette … ish
Fortuitously stumbled upon this podcast at just the right point in my journeys through the ‘lands between’ and it was everything i look for in a podcast… friends chatting , being goofy , sharing lore theories and the correct amount of innuendo. Thank you for the many hours of entertainment and for keeping me company on my long Commonwealth commutes .. CHEERS!!

    Millennials do it better
Absolutely love this podcast and so glad I found it. The four participants appear to be lifelong friends and it shows through their patience and appreciation for each other. Each person adds something to the show that keeps the listener engaged in genuine, goofy, and insightful topics about gaming and life in general.

The BEST Elden Ring Podcast. Just great casual players going at the game week by week. If you’re a beginner in the game, it’s great to follow along during your first play-through. If you’re experienced, it’s fun to hear them react to new revelations as they progress through the story. RIP Santa

No liar ahead, this podcast is awesome!
It puts a book club spin on a great video game, Elden Ring. Very funny and entertaining! It's great because you get to hear these guys and gals discuss each of their playthroughs for dinner and some nice, tasty lore for dessert. Plus a very catchy theme song that you'll find yourself singing out loud around people who give you funny looks.

    Sets the Standard
First off, try something incredible. This is an awesome podcast if you love Elden Ring and are looking for something to pick up on some lore, things you may have missed, or general banana shenanigans. Also, I may have missed another one, but consider this your first Gen Z seal of approval. Although, it is from an ancient married Gen Z. Congration. Keep up the great work!

    Perfect blend
Great combination of entertainment and information. And it’s great to have this from regular people who play like it do. Instead of pro gamers. Keep up the great work!

Exactly the podcast I was looking for!
This is such a fun podcast to listen to - pretty much like hanging out with a group of friends nerding out about an awesome game. It’s perfect for getting my Elden Ring fix when I’m not able to play. Looking forward to the next episode!

    Great Elden Ring Play Along
It’s always a great thrill when a new episode appears to listen to. Thank y’all for doing this and providing listening material for my drive to and from work, it always makes me jump right on after work and play, even with 108 hours on one of my characters (I swear I have a life). Thank you all again for providing all us tarnished with content every week and cannot wait to hear what you band of misfits get up to in your play through next. Cheers.

    First off, standard
The least sweaty video game conversation on the internet. The hosts are great, the banter is hilarious, the cutting edge game strategy analysis is occasionally present. The flagship podcast for standard gamers, it’s 🎶standard, standard…🎶

    Fun Podcast!
I happened to find this podcast after just starting Elden Ring, very fun to listen to and scratches the Elden itch while stuck at work. Interesting to hear all the different play throughs and finding stuff that I missed and can go back find. Very interested in seeing where it goes!

    Great!
I’m loving this podcast as a way to revisit memories of this amazing game. My only complaint is that in the latest “streaking” episode I really noticed the host , Billy, interrupting and talking over the others. Up until that point I’d mostly enjoyed his humor and love of lore, but started to get annoyed and think, oh my god this guy won’t shut up. There was way to much talking over one another, with him being the main culprit - neglecting the much needed role of moderator. Im hoping this improves going forward, and can’t wait for more!

    Great podcast
Great Elden Ring podcast that really does feel like a book club. Enjoy hearing how everyone approaches things differently and the story telling of the encounters in the open world. Thank you to the cast for a great show!
