Such a great concept, very well done. I listened to a different celebrity memoir podcast and they took everything so literally and seriously and it was soooooo boring. My girls keep it fun and interesting always and also are just so relatable and silly. Many years in and it is still my favorite podcast <3

I love this podcast!! It has made it into my weekly podcast circuit. I have two that I listen to religiously and this is one of them! There is potential since the hosts are not unintelligent, however it’s painful to listen to Ashley “yes, and” her way through every entire episode as if she’s fighting for her life while Claire “no, ME”s the whole way.

Just started listening and have blown through so many episodes - love all of it! Just the right amount of personal dialogue (also I did become a Patreon member so there’s more there which is also totally fine and great) and maybe it’s because we’re all the same age I feel like Claire and Ashley are people I’d be friends with. Funny and thoughtful and giving empathy and grace while also offering snark when needed. 10/10.

I have learned about some “celebrities” that I’ve never heard of by listening to this podcast. These girls are hilarious and I appreciate their hard work reading the books so we don’t have to. Although their recent read of the Pope’s memoir has inspired me to go read it. Thanks girlies!!

Someone recommended this podcast to me, and I listened to 2 episodes before I was like - this is unbearable. It’s 2025- aren’t we past sl*t shaming? And how you gonna call other women pick me’s, when you’re the ultimate NLOG? game recognize game, so I guess it takes one to know one. Be better.

And I can say it’s 10/10 or a 5/5. It’s equal party yapping with the girls and thoughtful analysis of memoirs across the spectrum of fame.

I’ve been listening to CMBC on and off for a few years maybe less and have never had access to Apple Podcasts to leave a review until now. I rly wasn’t going to until I saw some of the idiotic reviews complaining about nonsense issues and I’m here to say this podcast is entertaining and funny. Don’t expect them to be experts on every celebrity bc they are comedians. If you’re going to complain abt their voices u might just hate women idk. I don’t agree with absolutely everything they say but you shouldn’t consume media expecting to completely align with everything you see. It’s entertainment and they do a good job!

So good that even the episodes summarizing the memoirs of minor/unknown celebs, or totally uninteresting people, are still so funny, and engaging.

I started listening to this podcast while I was on maternity leave. I think it’s a brilliant concept for a podcast- there’s plenty of material to work with, there’s probably a celebrity you care about that they discuss, and you can jump in and out without needing to follow a narrative. I’m honestly so grateful to have this podcast while I took walks while pregnant, take care of my baby by myself during the day, and doing chores around the house. I was incredibly moved that they covered Diane Guerrero and chose such a timely book. I appreciate that they used their platform to highlight an issue that affects millions of people and has only accelerated in the past few months. I normally don’t bother leaving a review, but I had to show my appreciation for how they are using their platform.

Fun stuff! Ashley brings the fire with great recs (Diabolical Lies is awesome!) and Claire…summos are good too. Keep up the good work!

When I first listened to Clair and Ashley it was when the podcast was almost brand new-I was a little put off; at the time I didn’t get their deadpan humor. I have started listening again, and they are so, so funny. I highly recommend listening. Clair and Ashley, I really appreciate you cheering me up during some dark political times!

I discovered this duo through tik tok, then i heard, via the who? weekly patreon, good things, & gave this podcast a whirl. what a good decision! this pod is addicting. their smart, snappy, intuitive takes are so refreshing. after listening to their backlog I gladly subscribed to their patreon. i’ve actually turned friends on to it who don’t care for celebrity news because these two talking about current events and media is worth the subscription, & i’ve yet to be proven wrong! it feels like your cool sisters friend is talking, you don’t wanna miss a beat. in the best way; you just wanna hang on every word.

This podcast and Patreon used to be the highlight of my week but over the last 6 months or so I’ve found their ignorance more and more difficult to listen to.

I have been listening to this podcast for years (it is the only podcast I can truly say I’m loyal to), and it just never gets old. Claire and Ashley are so so funny and so smart and I’ve seen such an amazing development in their commentary which is so cool to experience. My favorite podcast! Interesting and funny, and very well balanced banter between friends. It really feels like you’re hanging with your favorite friends— goofy but not dumb. Absolutely love hearing about the internal life of Bug, a Lady of Many Charms and Skills.

I originally discovered them on TikTok after watching a clip that I disagreed with. So naturally I decided to “hate listen” to the whole episode. Turns out I was wrong. I’m obsessed with this podcast now and honestly grateful that I discovered them later in the game because now I have a whole backlog of episodes to binge.

I’ve been listening for years and at first my husband wasn’t into it but now he loves to listen too… at first he thought there were 4 hosts? Maybe because Claire and Ashley talk so fast? Idk but we’re big fans 😂 So funny and relatable.

I wonder if these women have ever experienced joy in their life. Half the episodes are just bad/hater energy lol but whatever. Some are alright!
